Getting The Beehive Haircut

When it comes to hairstyles there are trends that come and go and classics that never go out of fashion. The beehive haircut is something that is definitely making a comeback this year. The beehive is an updo that stems from the 1950s, and was created not long after the perm was invented.

Getting the beehive style right looks more complicated than it actually is. Your hair should be at least shoulder length and unwashed. If you have washed it then you can use some styling mousse to recreate the style. Use large rollers to get body into your hair and then twist the back into a classic updo. Tease the hair that is left and pin it in small sections to the back.

Make sure the pins you use are a similar colour to your hair so that they will be less noticeable. Remember you will need quite a bit of pins to keep the hair in place. Be quite generous when using hairspray, as you want a strong hold. A great alternative would be using hair lacquer, as it has a stronger hold. The beehive haircut is definitely hot this year, so get going and recreate your very own one.
